The Commission on Technical and Career Institutions (CTCI) was a separate commission within the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through 2008.

Between 2003 and 2008, based on a vote by NEASC Trustees to consolidate all degree-granting institutions into one Commission, all CTCI institutions migrated to the NEASC Commission on Institutions of Higher Education (CIHE) through a process that included a comprehensive evaluation.

Prior to 2008, CTCI was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education so during that time students received degrees from institutions accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
